Zawadi Hat Fashion was born from a love story. Founders Wangui Nzai, a Kenyan with a lifelong passion for fashion, and Maximilian, a German photographer, met and fell in love on the tropical island of Koh Phangan, Thailand.

After celebrating their traditional Swahili wedding in Kenya, Maximilian discovered a deep appreciation for the elegance and vibrancy of African prints. Combined with their shared love for luxury travel and timeless style, the experience inspired them to create ZHF, a brand that brings African craftsmanship to the world's most beautiful destinations.

Today, every ZHF piece is hand-cut and crafted by skilled artisans in Kenya using premium African fabrics. Produced in limited collections, our designs reflect a commitment to slow fashion, exceptional craftsmanship, and lasting quality.
